Mysterializing
I made up the word 'mysterialize' to point to/name the sharing of an experience that is inherently unexplainable – like awe. I have, and recognize in others, an urge to presence to another human the quality of these kinds of experiences, to word them into shared memory in some way. Knowing words are ultimately incomplete, and it's merely an attempt to describe rather than the thing itself, with some part remaining in mystery...still I try.
Mysterializing allows for a spaciousness of touching both aporia and knowing such that I can be in the paradox of communicating the sensations or insights or qualities with words while knowing a full understanding by the other can't happen completely. And it's beautiful, the urge to convey the depth and/or breadth of a numinous (again, a word both lacking and sufficing for now) moment. Exposing the wonder. Intimating the encountenance. Essencing the innocence.
Mysterializing is the very human act of bringing the experience, through frequency to another, into a different existence. It's so relaxing to me, to let go of the need for a full description or full receiving. As I like to say, "A little paradox goes a long way."
How do you feel about those unexplainable experiences? Perhaps you have an explanation…? Do you attempt to convey to another?
